Delete your ChangePace account
You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, in the app, at any time. If you can’t get into the app, email us and we’ll do it for you.
In the app
- Open ChangePace and sign in.
- On Today, tap the circle with your initials (top right) to open Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Tap Delete account to confirm. It can’t be undone.
If you have ChangePace Premium, cancel it in Google Play first: deleting your account doesn’t cancel the subscription.
What’s deleted
Everything we hold about you, straight away: your account and email address, your set-up answers and health details, runs and routes, strength sessions, plans, chats with your coaches, races, shoes, feedback, your public profile, pals, group memberships, group runs you planned, shared run links and the copies other runners could see. Runs on your phone that hadn’t uploaded yet are deleted from it too.
If you connected Strava, we take back ChangePace’s access. If Strava can’t be reached at that moment, the app tells you, and you can remove ChangePace in Strava → Settings → My Apps.
What’s kept
- On Strava: runs you already sent there stay until you delete them on Strava.
- Reports: reports you made, or that were made about you, are kept without the link to your account, so we can deal with them.
- Shared things: races you added to the race list, and groups you started (they stay for their other members), no longer linked to you.
- Backups and analytics: copies in backups are gone within [Supabase backup window, e.g. 7 days]; usage analytics are kept for [PostHog retention period].
- Purchases: Google Play and RevenueCat keep their own records of what you bought.
By email
If you can’t sign in, email [support email] from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We’ll delete it and everything above, and reply to tell you when it’s done [Phil: say how quickly, e.g. within 30 days].
